Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is a mixed bag - while the rooms felt like what luxury hotels used to be like and the service was welcoming, there were some noise issues from a nighttime event at the park opposite and a miscommunication that cost us money. The location was superb, though, ideal for exploring downtown Charleston, but the dining left much to be desired.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered great views of the city, although the bathroom was a bit tiny. The staff was on top of it, deserving a sincere compliment for their hospitality and friendliness. The location was central to everything we wanted to do, making it very convenient for our stay. Dining was a mix of experiences, with some good selections but also room for improvement in the quality of food. Overall, a decent value for money hotel with some minor drawbacks.
The hotel offers beautiful rooms with 2 bathrooms, but they are extremely small with very little walking room and were not that clean. The service was very good, with staff moving us to a new room promptly, although the new room had toilet problems. The location is excellent, within easy reach of the central area and walking distance to downtown Charleston. Dining provided a good selection and quality service, attended by warm employees. The facilities were favorable.
The hotel has spacious and very clean rooms, although the bedding for the pull-out sofa was a little cramped. The service was friendly and helpful, especially in navigating around the race crowd. The location is superb for exploring Charleston's historic area. The dining options were delicious, particularly at Swamp Fox. The facilities were well-maintained, offering a charming and pleasant stay.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic. The rooms were very nice, clean, and comfortable overlooking the Marion park, which was a great view. The service was outstanding, with friendly and extremely helpful staff always willing to assist. The location was very accommodating, right in the center of Charleston, making it convenient to explore the city. The dining experience was superb with a choice of fresh fruit, bakery items, and made-to-order omelets. Overall, a great value for money with top-notch service and amenities.
I absolutely loved the convenient location of the hotel, making it easy to explore Charleston and enjoy the nearby attractions. The rooms had a stylish and quaint vibe, although a bit on the smaller side and the bathroom felt a tad claustrophobic. The service was top-notch, with incredibly helpful and kind staff making my stay memorable. However, the dining options were a bit overpriced and not up to par. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few drawbacks.
I had a great time at the hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering a delightful view of Patriots Point with the chance to see FT Sumter in the distance. My deluxe king room overlooked Marion Square and was equipped with all the amenities I needed. While the service was overall helpful and the location superb, there were some minor issues with the physical condition of the room.
The hotel is located in the vibrant city of Charleston, within walking distance of many shops, bars, and restaurants on King Street. The rooms are a good size for two people and nicely appointed, although they could use some TLC. The service was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, always going the extra mile to assist us. The dining experience provided a decent variety, although not exceptional. The location is excellent, offering easy access to historical sites and a variety of dining options.
The hotel has a charming Charleston feel and is very convenient for exploring the historic district. The rooms were tiny with signs of mold and noise from turbines. The service was helpful and sensitive to our needs. The dining, although hearty, was considered too expensive. The location is great for tourist attractions with convenient access to bars and restaurants.
